2007 Acura TSX Review

Offered at four trim levels, the 2007 Acura TSX may be a technophiles dream car because of its Bluetooth lock-in for cell phones.

With a starting MSRP of $28,090, the TSX comes with a 205 horsepower 2.4 liter 4-cylinder inline engine, and a 5-speed automatic transmission (with options for 5 speed automatic with a navigation system, and a 6-speed manual with or without a navigation system). Its installation of i-VTEC and variable fuel injection also gives it fuel efficiency of 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on open highway.

Interior features include an 8-speaker sound system with AM/FM radio and a 6-disc in-dash CD changer, as well as XM satellite radio, Acuras "HomeLink" technology, and the afore-mentioned Bluetooth hands-free system. In addition, there is an environmental cooling system, motorized windows and door locks, distant unlock system, cup holders, and an adjustable steering column with tiller accessible knobs for audio and throttle control, not to mention the motorized drivers seat, and cow hide trim.

Among the TSXs safety features are front, front-side, and side curtain airbags, high-intensity xenon headlights, reiinforced door beams, deformable front and rear intrusion zones, shotgun-window defoggers, a timed rear window defroster, and race car-inspired seat belts. As well, there is an non-skid brake system, and a vehicle stability system with slip-spin control.

Outside, the TSX combines a sleek exterior with important features like a power moon roof, heat-proof tinted glass, fog lights, timed windshield wipers, and fog-proof mirrors with in-dwelling signals.

Terrifically technological, the 2007 Acura TSX is a sedan with the soul of a sports car.
