2007 Infiniti FX Review

The 2007 Infiniti FX line of sports utility vehicles offers eye-catching power over three models: the FX35 ($37,800), the FX35 AWD ($39,300), and the FX45 AWD ($49,850). The FX35 models employs a 275 horsepower, 3.5 liter V6 with an automatic transmission with five speeds and a mode for manual shift. The FX45 AWD has a 320 horsepower, 4.5 liter V8 with an an automatic transmission with five speeds and a super-wide ratio. The FX35 gets 17 mpg city and 23 highway with the FX35 AWD registering 16/21 and the FX45 AWD 14/18.

The FX35 includes a system to deliver comprehensive information about vehicle operation displayed on an LCD screen measuring seven inches. The audio system is a Bose unit (300 watts) and a monitoring system for the rear of the vehicle is standard. The FX35 AWD includes all the standard equipment of the base model but adds all-wheel drive. The top of the line FX45 AWD has all the features of the FX35 AWD with the addition of a phone system using Bluetooth technology for handsfree operation and a suspension classed as sport-tuned.

All 2007 Infiniti FX models include double-stage air bags to protect front occupants with sensors detecting seat belt use as well as classifying the occupants present for appropriate deployment levels. Additionally, the FXs are equipped with bags mounted in the seat to shield against impact from the side and bags in the curtain position with a sensor monitoring rollovers.
