2007 GMC Canyon 2WD Review

The 2007 GMC Canyon trucks range from $14,495 to $29,080. The regular configuration seats up to three adults and has a box length of 72.8 inches (with the width of the opening measuring 57.2 inches.) Measurable cargo capacity totals 44 cubic feet. The extended model seats five, with the same box length, opening, and cargo capacity. The crew cab seats six with a box length of 61.1 inches (opening width 57.2 inches) and offers a cargo capacity of 37 cubic feet.

Engine options include the standard 2.9 liter I4 producing 185 horsepower or the 3.7-liter I5 generating 242 horsepower. The Canyon can handle towed loads of as much as 4,000 pounds and will handle payloads of up to 1,547 pounds. Fuel consumption is estimated at 16 to 20 mpg city and 22 to 26 highway.

Safety features include running lights for use during the day and comprehensive double stage air bags covering occupants in the front. These bags and those in the curtain position for side collisions (on all rows) are controlled by sensors to detect severity of a collision. Vehicle entry via a remote is available and OnStar service can be installed.

The 2007 GMC Canyon includes a standard AM/FM audio unit with the SL jumping to a unit including a CD and an MP3 player (features included on all other models.) A changer capable of handling six discs XM Satellite Radio are both available options.
