2007 Mazda MAZDA3 Review

The 2007 Mazda3 line of compact cars features both a four and five-door vehicle as well as the MazdaSpeed3 edition. The four-door is offered in both "i" and "s" models: i Sport ($14,390), i Touring ($16,750), s Sport ($17,685), s Touring ($18,920), and s Grand Touring ($20,390). The "i" models are powered by a 2-liter, 16-valve, 4 cylinder engine generating 148 horsepower. The "s" models have a 156 horsepower, 2.3 liter, 4 cylinder.

The five-door is offered as an s Sport ($18,175), s Touring ($18,920), and s Grand Touring ($20,390). All are outfitted with a 2.3-liter engine. The MazdaSpeed3, a five-door hatchback, has a Sport ($22,835) and Grand Touring ($24,550) model. Both are powered by an impressive 263 horsepower, 2.3 liter engine with a manual transmission with six speeds (capable of speeds as high as 154.5 mph.)

The 2007 Mazda3 line is outfitted with multiple safety features including reinforced construction and a complete array of front airbags with sensors monitoring the position of the driver and the weight of the passenger. After the deployment of the air bags, the steering column is collapsible. In addition, locks on the rear doors are rated as child safe.
