2008 Mazda MAZDA5 Review

The 2008 Mazda5 series of vehicles have room for six with two rear doors that slide, offering a unique level of flexibility in a hatch configuration rated as a "sport" model. Consequently Mazda has succeeded in opening up a new level of family travel at highly affordable rates.

The Sport model of the Mazda5 is powered by a 153 horsepower, 2.3-liter engine with all wheel brakes and airbags in the front and side position (a standard feature on all models in the line.) The Touring edition has the same engine and amenities but adds automatic temperature control, an audio system playing across six speakers, a changer with a six disc capacity, a powered sunroof, fog lights, and a spoiler in the rear.

The Grand Touring Mazda5 is powered by a 2.3-liter, 16-valve, four-cylinder engine generating 153 horsepower using an automatic transmission with four speeds. The seats are trimmed in leather and heated. Systems are present to monitor tire pressure and to assist with navigation.

Passenger volume on the 2008 Mazda5 vehicles is 97.7 cubic feet with cargo volume of 44.4 cubic feet. The vehicles feature middle seats that slide and offer storage space under the cushions.
