2008 Mazda MAZDA6 Review

The versatile 2008 Mazda6 line includes four models that range from hatchbacks to wagons and even a sports car.

The four-door sports sedan is offered in both an "i" series including the Sport ($19,725), Sport VE ($20,225), Touring ($22,115), and Grand Touring ($23,685) editions and an "s" series including the Sport VE ($22,785) and the Touring edition ($24,775). The "i" models are powered by a 2.3 liter 16-valve, 4-cylinder engine while the "s" models have a 3 liter, 24-valve, 6-cylinder.

The Mazda6 five-door is offered in six models: i Sport VE ($21,225), i Touring ($23,115), i Grand Touring ($24,435), s Sport VE ($23,785), s Touring ($25,775), and s Grand Touring ($27,395). The "i" models feature the 2.3 liter 4-cylinder engine while the "s" vehicles jump to the 3 liter 6-cylinder.

The family-friendly Mazda6 Sport Wagon is available as the s Sport VE ($24,785), s Touring ($26,775), and s Grand Touring ($28,395). All have the 3-liter 6-cylinder engine. The MazdaSpeed6 Sport model has an MSRP of $28,590 and the Grand Touring edition carries a price of $30,520. Both have a 2.3 liter DOHC 16-valve I4 with Turbo generating 270 hp.

All of the 2008 Mazda6 vehicles come standard with pollen filters for the air conditioning, power windows and door locks, at least four cup-holders, and de-misters for the side-view mirrors. As well, they carry a safety array that includes front- and side impact airbags for the front seats, and head protecting airbags for all seats.
