2007 Jeep Patriot Review

The 2007 Jeep Patriot is available as a Sport model for an MSRP of $14,985 and as a Limited edition for $19,985. The Patriot is powered by a 2.4 liter, 172 horsepower engine with estimated fuel consumption of 26 mpg city and 30 highway for the manual transmission with five speeds and 4 x 2 (fuel tank 13.6 gallons.)

Both models come standard with front wheel drive and and option for all wheel drive. Systems are in place to control the stability of the vehicle, its traction, and the potential for roll overs. The vehicle features standard airbags as well as those in the curtain position to shield against impact from the side. The all-wheel brakes have anti-locking technology.

A standard audio combo plays across four speakers and includes a jack for auxiliary input (both models.) There is an option to have SIRIUS Satellite Radio installed on the Patriot at the factory. The premium sound option is a Boston Acoustics Sound system with 458-watts of power and liftgate speakers.

The 2007 Jeep Patriot offers the ability to handle payloads of as much as 925 lbs. and can tow loads of as much as a thousand pounds. (The capacity for towing can be boosted to two thousand pounds when the correct equipment has been installed.)Cargo capacity posterior to the first row of seats is 54.2 cubic feet; to the second row 23 cubic feet. The Patriot has room for a maximum of five passengers enjoying 101.7 cubic feet of space.
