2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor Review

The mid-sized 2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor SUV offers the handling and feel of a sport sedan with the performance of a car. Available in two models with both front- and all-wheel drive, the Endeavor LS carries an MSRP of $26,999 / $28,999 with the SE selling for $28,749 / $30,749. Both are equipped with a 225 hp 24-valve V6 engine with a four-speed automatic transmission that is enhanced by Mitsubishi's "Sportronic" technology, which allows manual gear shifting. Estimated fuel consumption on the 2WDs is 19/28 for the LS and 19/30 for the SE. Both models in AWD get 18/27. (The vehicles have a 21.4 gallon fuel tank.) An anti-theft engine immobilizer and an anti-theft alarm system are also included.

Headroom in the front measures 39.6 inches, 38.7 in the rear with overall passenger volume at 107.7 cubic feet - room for five. Maximum cargo capacity is 76.4 cubic feet. Multi front airbags with front passenger occupant sensors, side and curtain bags with roll-over protection, anti-lock brakes, traction control, front and rear crumple zones, tire pressure monitoring, and daytime running lights are standard. The audio package on the 2007 Mitsubishi Endeavor is a 140-watt CD/MP3 audio system with six speakers. The SE has SIRIUS satellite radio with a six months pre-paid subscription.
