2008 Nissan Sentra Review

The 2008 Nissan Sentra is available in five models: the 2.0 ($14,750), 2.0 S ($15,650), the 2.0 SL ($18,400), the SE-R ($19,400), and the SE-R Spec V ($19,900). The 2.0 models are equipped with a 140 hp, 2-liter, 4-cylinder engine while the SEs have the more powerful, slightly larger 200 hp, 2.5 liter model. The 2.0 and 2.0 S come standard with a six-speed manual transmission, the 2.0 SL has Nissan's Xtronic "continuous variable" transmission, the SE-R has a sport-tuned Xtronic, and the SE-R Spec V is equipped with a six-speed manual that comes with a flywheel.

Fuel economy on the 2.0 and 2.0 S is 28 mpg city and 24 highway; on the 2.0 SL 29/36; the SE-R 27/33' and the SE-R Spec V 24/31. All models have a 14.5 gallon fuel tank. Interior passenger volume on the Sentras is 97.4 cubic feet on the 2.0; 97.7 on all other models. Cargo volume is 13.1 cubic feet on all models except the SE-R Spec V, which has 12 cubic feet.

The 2008 Nissan Sentra employs an advanced air bag system with dual front air bags featuring seat-belt and occupancy sensors, as well as seat-mounted bags for side-impact protection for the driver and front seat passenger.
