2007 Suzuki SX4 Review

The 2007 Suzuki SX4 is a 5-passenger 4-door small-size sedan which comes with a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine that develops 143 hp. It comes with a standard 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic as an option. The SX4 has a hatchback which allows quicker loading and unloading, plus a 60-40 split rear seat for hauling longer cargo.

The interior of the SX4 is spacious and well-crafted, making it an even better car for the money. Even the back seat of the 2007 SX4 manages to accommodate adults without skinning their knees. The driver seat affords good head and leg room, with a view of a well-organized instrument panel. Well designated ventilation knobs and AM/FM controls punctuate a better than anticipated tour of the cockpit. The 2007 Suzuki SX4 is well-equipped and offers minimal equipment as options. There are loads of aftermarket accessories you may find just as appealing, such as a body kit, spoiler, or oversize wheels.

Safety details in the 2007 SX4 include mention of driver and front passenger airbags, side-impact airbags, and side-impact curtains. Braking is quick and sure with antilock 4-wheel discs. The car handles well with adequate power and comfortable cornering. Minimal noise either from the engine or from outside the SX4 were noted, giving it a fairly solid feel.

A walk around the vehicle reveals a compact yet substantial persona, with abundant window glass and handsome aerodynamic lines. The 2007 Suzuki does not feel as boxy or cheaply made as some of the other sub-compacts we tested. Fuel economy of the 2007 SX4 is rated at 18 mpg city and 24 mpg highway, a disappointment to those who would expect more from a sub-compact. Still, there is a lot to like about the 2007 Suzuki SX4 which is a bargain compared to others in its segment.
