2007 Saturn Relay Review

The seven-passenger 2007 Saturn Relay is available in three models known as the Relay-1, 2, and 3, and ranging in base price from $22,335 to $28,625. All are front-wheel drive, and all come equipped with a 240 horsepower, 3.9 liter, V6 engine and a four-speed automatic transmission. Estimated fuel consumption is 18 mpg city and 25 highway on a 25 gallon tank.

Passenger volume on the Relay is 147.4 cubic feet with cargo volumes relative to seat configuration: behind the third row 26.9 cubic feet, with third row seats removed 74.1, and with second and third row removed 136.5. Maximum towing capacity is 3,500 lbs. Headroom on the first, second, and third rows is 39.8, 38.9, and 38.1 with legroom of 39.9/38.9/36.2.

The comprehensive air bag system includes dual-stage front bags with passenger sensing system, as well as side impact bags for both the front and back seats. In addition, the Relay is equipped the LATCH system for child safety seats. The OnStar system with a three-year service plan is a standard feature.

The included audio system is an eight-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3 unit. A DVD entertainment system is standard on the 2007 Saturn Relay 2 and 3 but not available on the Relay-1. (The Relay-3 also has a driver information center with outside temperature, compass display, and personalization options.)
