2007 Ford Focus Review

The 2007 Ford Focus, starting from an MSRP of $14,130 is available as a 3-door hatchback, sedan, ST Sedan, 5-door hatchback, and wagon. All have a seating capacity of five and available trunk spaces ranging from 14.8 cubic feet on the sedan to 35.2 on the wagon.

Engine options are a Duratec 20, sixteen-valve I4 generating 136 horsepower; a Duratec 20E producing 130 horsepower; and a Duratec 23 putting out 151 horsepower (available on the Sedan ST only as the standard and sole engine for the model.) The first two return 27 mpg city, 37 highway while the Duratec 23 averages 23/32. All models have a standard manual transmission with five speeds. An automatic with four speeds is available on all models except the four-door Sedan ST.

All models of the 2007 Ford Focus have an AM/FM/CD/MP3 combo with four speakers with a Sony Audiophile Sound System optional on all models except the wagon. Occupants are protected with double-stage airbags across the line. Child seats are held in place with the standard LATCH anchoring system and rear door locks are rated as child proof on all models except the 3-door hatchback. Bags in the side position can be added to all models except the four-door ST and the wagon.
